Sancta Simplicitas

A Latin phrase meaning literally, ``O holy simplicity!'' To be ``simplus'' in Latin is both to be innocent, humble and modest - the original meaning in this phrase - but also to be ignorant, credulous and naive (the meaning Dr. White ironically gives it here).

Now if only our schools taught Latin, I wouldn't have to explain these jokes...
