Back before the Web, my friend Mitchell Porter compiled a document called
High Weirdness by E-Mail. In the mid-1990s, we turned it into
something called Hyper-Weirdness by World Wide Web. Then we got
lives, or at least jobs, and did absolutely nothing to it for several years, by
which point it was ridiculously out of date. Rather than pretending we would
ever get around to fixing it, we yanked it in 1999. The only parts which
seemed at all worth saving are the ones linked to here, though, if you
absolutely need something from the old version, I have a back-up copy off-line,
as does Mitch. Even what's left hasn't been touched since 1996 or 1997, and
you can imagine how reliable it is. (Not even the internal links have been
updated, so expect them to be broken.) Caveat Lector.
