The well-known and frequently-cited (not to say frequently-published) study of
the families of schizophrenics by Theodore Lidz and colleagues managed,
incredibly, to commit both these elementary blunders. Partly on the
basis of this work, Lidz became chairman of Yale's psychiatry department. See
