Friday Cat Blogging (Science Geek Revolutionary Solidarity Edition)
I'll return to blogging about nominally cat-related scientific papers next week; but the events in the Ukraine are deeply inspiring, and when I saw that picture I couldn't resist. (Photo ripped off from AFP/Viktor Drachev; found via some blog or other, but unfortunately I can't remember which.) A Fistful of Euros and The Argus are doing good jobs of aggregating news about the unfolding revolution; see also Maidan. If the pattern of post-Cold-War revolutions continues, I fully expect that in 2016 or so we'll see Barack Obama addressing massive crowds on the Mall, holding a rose in one hand...
