It has been known for a long time that cats have a special affinity with computers, and particularly with programs that facilitate social interaction. It was thus inevitable that there would eventually be social networking site exclusively for cats: Catster. Since physicists interested in complex networks have already investigated the structure of the dolphin social network of Doubtful Sound, New Zealand, and I know someone is working on a herd of buffalo, I am sure we can soon expect to soon see a detailed analysis of this unique network. After all, it includes over 9000 nodes and is growing rapidly, though I have it from an authoritative source that the social interface is not yet optimized for felines.
